Opening Reception of Jaguar Moon and My Tiny Castles

Please join us and meet the artists “Brocha Silvestre” Mariano Arrien-Gomez and Lea Barcus.

In this exhibit, explore the works of two D.C. artists who, though drawing inspiration from different sources and working in different media, both celebrate the magic and splendor of our worlds. In his paintings and prints in Jaguar Moon, Brocha Silvestre shares some of the wonder he experienced while living in Bolivia, one of the most bio-diverse places on earth. And in her miniature sculptural collages in My Tiny Castles, Lea Barcus invites viewers to delight in imaginative play and to find beauty and meaning in the overlooked and discarded.
